Through this Project, RSKS India will distribute sanitary napkins to 1500 poor and marginalized girls and women living in rural communities. The initiative aims to promote menstrual hygiene, protect women and girls from infections and diseases caused by unhygienic practices, and help them live safely, confidently, and with dignity during their menstrual days.
Menstrual hygiene remains a major challenge for millions of women and girls in India. Poor menstrual hygiene also affects education and livelihoods. Thousands of school-going girls miss classes or drop out of school due to lack of sanitary products and awareness, while many women are unable to work comfortably and safely during their periods.
RSKS India will distribute sanitary napkins to 1500 vulnerable girls and women to ensure safe and hygienic menstrual practices. Along with the distribution, awareness sessions and counseling workshops will be organized to educate participants about menstrual health, hygiene management, proper use and disposal of sanitary napkins, and the harmful effects of using unhygienic alternatives.
The project will help 1500 girls and women improve their health, hygiene, confidence, and dignity. Better menstrual hygiene practices will reduce the risk of infections and support safer living conditions. The initiative will also contribute to reducing school absenteeism and dropout rates among adolescent girls. By breaking menstrual taboos and increasing awareness, this project ensuring that women and girls can live healthier, safer, and more empowered lives.
