The Afghan Institute of Learning runs Learning Centers in Afghanistan that provide thousands of students with educational classes in many subjects including computers. AIL needs to buy quality computers for its classes. Computing skills are vital in today's world and many Afghans want to learn so they can improve their job opportunities or prepare for university.
There is not enough good quality education available to Afghans. Many people are behind in education, especially women and girls. People attend AIL centers to gain education because they never went to school or need to catch up with peer groups and reenter school or to gain additional skills such as computing and English. AIL needs to provide quality computers for its classes.
AIL computer classes are very popular. There is constant demand for more classes. AIL needs to purchase new computers to replace some that are beyond repair. Additional machines are needed for new classes. New computers will mean more students gain useful computing skills helping them in school and in work.
Computer training gives students a competitive edge both in school and university study and most importantly while seeking employment. Most students skilled in computing are hired immediately upon completing an AIL course while others choose to go to college.
