We are proud to announce that our project for providing a computer to an Afghan girl has been funded! The computer your funds purchased will be used in the center currently scheduled to open in a few months in Mazar-i-Sharif at a school for 3,500 girls. This school is featured on GlobalGiving (http://www.globalgiving.org/projects/ayni-education-international/). We currently operate two centers and graduate 240 students every 3 months. Graduating students pass exams certifying basic knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite - excel, word and general proficiency with powerpoint and the internet.
Graduates have certificates that enable them to enter the workforce with vocational skills and the tools to enter high education.
The computer your donor dollars purchased is sourced locally generating much needed economic activity.
Supporting girls' education includes all types of literacy including computer literacy.
Thank you for helping Afghan girls' enter the computer centers with the necessary equipment.
