Challenge

This project addresses the urgent problem of children in Sindh walking barefoot in extreme heat and harsh conditions. Without proper footwear, they suffer from burns, injuries, and infections that threaten their health and well-being. The project will provide durable slippers to protect their feet, reducing health risks and ensuring they can move safely and live with dignity.

Solution

This microproject will solve the problem by providing durable slippers to vulnerable children in Sindh who currently walk barefoot in extreme heat and harsh conditions. The slippers will protect their feet from burning ground, injuries, and infections, ensuring daily safety and comfort. By addressing this basic need, the project will immediately reduce health risks and improve their quality of life.

Long-Term Impact

Access to clean water will transform life in Tharparkar. Families will enjoy better health, reduced disease, and improved food security. Children will attend school instead of walking miles for water, and women will have time for income activities. Livestock will survive, strengthening local livelihoods. With community training and maintenance, each water source will ensure lasting hope, dignity, and self-reliance for generations to come.
