Diego wanted to be a narco, as his brother, that was all he knew. But Peraj Mexico gave him a friend! An university student who for 10 months cared about him and tought him the value of good values and study, a mentor who tought him another dream was possible. They wore a t-shirt which will unite them for ever, not just for the 10 months they worked together, but his mentor became his forever friend and guide. Help us get more t-shirts so more Diegos can dream and achieve a better future.
Mexico's rate of drop out is alarming!!! Peraj has been working to end school drop out for the 15 years; we have worked with more that 27,000 pairs along the country with University students who become guides for elementary school students. They show them a better future while developping both social skills that will help them along their life.
Pairs will have a t-shirt with Peraj's logo, they will wear it for 10 months; it will make them feel part of a project, of a plan and of a better future. Each t-shirt costs USD $8, we need as many as possible!!!! This year we have 2,500 pairs all across the country.
In 15 years, we have worked with more that 27,000 pairs all over the country in more that 90 Universities and 400 elementary schools. In these years we have seen children achieve a better future by continuing studying; children from the first generation are becoming mentors of the new children reaching our program. Society benefits from the program by having committed University students and more prepared children wanting a better future.
