Challenge

Amber's abusive husband has hidden the American passports for herself, Santiago and Isabel. This is a common tactic abusers use to keep their victims from escaping. Amber also has no access to any money as her abusive husband controls all the finances.

Solution

With this project Amber will be able to get all of their American passports replaced. She has already secured a repatriation loan and we have resources lined up to help her once she arrives home in the USA.

Long-Term Impact

The project serves 500 women per year empowering them to find alternatives to a life of violence so their children grow up in violence free homes with their self-esteem in tact with the hope of stopping the cycle of violence in future generations.
