Eli does not live in a safe home. His mother Nicole does her best to keep Eli from harm but his father's rages terrify him. He cries and screams from his bed when he hears his father hit his mother. Nicole never thought this could happen to her. She thought the man she was dating was kind, gentle and loving. That is the man she knew when she agreed to get married and go live overseas with him. But that all changed when they got to Argentina. We need to get Nicole and Eli out of Argentina.
Thousands of American women move overseas with men they think are wonderful. It is only when they get to the foreign country they begin to experience abuse. Nicole wants to get Eli out as soon as possible. She believes it is just a matter of time before he beings to physically abuse Eli too. We need $1500 for airline tickets to get Nicole and Eli back to the USA where she can live with her brother and his family until she is able to get back on her feet.
Nicole will be able to escape and come back to the USA with Eli before the abuse gets any worse. Nicole has a strong support network in the USA with her brother and parents. Nicole and Eli can live without fear in their own home.
The project serves 500 women per year empowering them to find alternatives to a life of violence so their children grow up in violence free homes with their self-esteem in tact with the hope of stopping the cycle of violence in future generations.
