Please help Angie bring Ava home safely

A microproject by Pathways to Safety International
Please help Angie bring Ava home safely

Summary

We have been safety planning with Angie for the past month. She desperately needs to escape her abusive husband in Ireland with her daughter Ava and come home to the USA. Angie has their American passports but not enough money for the airline tickets for her and Ava to get home safely to her parents house. Angie's abuser went into a rage and said he would "destroy" her. He has begun telling Ava she has a "bad mommy." We need to get Angie out of Ireland as quickly as possible with Ava.

Challenge

Angie doesn't have access to any money. Her parents have offered to help her but she is still $800 short to get Ava safely back home.

Solution

Angie will be able to return home with Ava and live safely with Angie's parents. At home in the USA she will be able to get a job and support Ava.

Long-Term Impact

The project serves 500 women per year empowering them to find alternatives to a life of violence so their children grow up in violence free homes with their self-esteem in tact with the hope of stopping the cycle of violence in future generations.
