Dear Friends,
This year you supported a microproject related to the Diani Chrildren's Village. Once again we would like to thank you for all the support that we received. We truly appreciate it.
Due to the Covid-19 situation we have not been able to collect sufficient funds even though the project has come to an end. Despite the aforementoined, we appreciate every dollar you have been giving.
Covid-19 changed many things at Diani Children's Village. The Managing Committee was, out of precaution, forced to ‘lockdown’ the Home from the third week in March. Four months later and the results have been surprisingly amazing. The general demeanor of all the children is excellent. They are calm and focused on all the tasks that they were assigned to. The children started home schooling, which is a welcome addition to the daily activities. We have retained the services of two teachers, one for the older children and one for kindergarten aged children.
The team is working hard to make sure that everybody is doing okay!
