By Amy M Baty-Herbert | Project Coordinator
Dear project supporters,
We are grateful for your support that helped provide long-lasting insecticide-treated nets to children in Cameroon. Sleeping under a net is the most cost-effective way to prevent malaria, which is the most prevalent disease in Africa, especially in Cameroon.
The Bitame Lucia School (BLIS) organized a workshop for students and teachers to educate them on the prevention of malaria. They also showed them how to use the bed nets and distributed them to families in need. With better knowledge about prevention, malaria deaths can continue to decline and we can work toward a world with no more malaria.
Thank you again for your support to provide bed nets to children and families in need in Cameroon. We welcome your ongoing support as we continue to provide school supplies, bed nets, and scholarships to students in need in Cameroon.
Warm regards,
Amy and the Develop Africa team
