Dear Donors,
Thank you so much for your donations to this microproject. It show us that you have a heart for giving, and you believe in our cause and the work we do. We cant thank you enough for that. We did manage to raise some funds for this Meal-in-a-Backpack program, but not enough to get it started and have it be sustainable. Therefore, we would like to use the funds elsewhere and we hope we have your support for that as well. Part of what we have to do, being a program in a developing country, is be flexible but maintain our vision and drive- so thats what we are going to do!
This month, Mammadu was fortunate to receive many social work students who are doing internships for a period of three to six months. They will be developing projects and activities which are tailored to the best interest of the children. These activities may require some supplies, and this is what we plan to use the money donated to this project for. Some of the potential topic areas for these projects and activities include: building self-confidence, regulating emotions (so as to develop positive emotional health), anti-bullying, age-appropriate budgeting and financial awareness, working together as a team, and so forth. We hope you approve and will be sending your thoughts for success our way!
Thank you once again!
