The # of adults over 50 will double in 35 years. Alarmingly, adults over 50 struggle to find jobs. MaturiJobs recreates the older adult through education and connection. We teach courses catered to a 50+ audience-- topics include technology, social media, and the 21st century market. We also connect employers to the 50+ via a unique employment platform. Our first project in Sao Paulo provides classes to 150 adults. The course content will also be provided to over 3000 50+ registered on our site
By 2100, 2 of 5 individuals will be 50+. The 50+ struggle to adapt to the modern job market despite their vast work experience. They lack crucial 21st century skills, in technology, social media, and the modern job search. Joblessness deprives them of income and social connections, leading to health and mental health problems. Business lacks a tool to train and recruit potential high-impact workers. There is a gap between seasoned workers and hiring businesses.
We teach the 50+ and connect them to business. Microsoft Office, effective resumes, website creation, the Cloud, social media, career planning-- all find place in our 10 hour workshop. We prioritize listening to needs and wants of the 50+. Our job search site allows the 50+ to underscore their life experience. Businesses can reach out to those registered; the 50+ can solicit jobs posted by businesses just looking for the 50+. Engagement brings income, connections, and purpose
We imagine an older adult workforce that has the dexterity of the modern workplace to take advantage of their vast life experience and stay engaged as productive members of society. Working will bring the 50+ income, connection, and purpose, thus reducing poverty and health problems. They can supplement retirement benefits so they can take care of themselves and their families. Businesses will have a workforce that is highly experienced and loyal. We promote a high quality of life after age 50.
