100000 mangroves are planted now and 100000 coastal community as fishermen, students and environmental groups will be motivated. It will maintain coastal eco-system with safe breeding and habitation of fishes, birds, clams, mollusks and specie. One hactre mangroves absorb 32 metric tone of CO2 and prevent from Tsunami and cyclone disasters destruction.
In the experience of Tsunamai in 2006 and cyclone, coastal people were severely affected and now realise that it could be averted if Mangrove existed there. because the disaster was prevented from its severe destruction where it existed. In other side destruction of forest, Prawns culture, encroachment and tourism development are affecting coastal eco-system. The existing mangroves are cut for firewood as they are lack of knowledge on importance
ROSI Foundation is promoting motivation among farmers, students and coastal communities on existing mangroves conservation at Nagapattinam district. Nursery for mangroves is being promoted in point calimere in Coastal of Tamil Nadu (Bay Bengal). Each nursery will deliver 12500 Mangroves saplings in every year that 50000 will be planted.
Coastal people is being now free of disaster and its destruction because mangroves will stop them in the areas where it is growing. Sustainable prevention of disaster and coastal ecological development will be existed. 1000 of fauna flora will have breeding and safe habitation. It will resist the impact and serious damage of climate changes for Globe. it absorbs more CO2 and so reduces green gas effect
