Summary

In America, land of the free, there are hundreds of thousands of children that are not free - who are being exploited for labor and sex. The average age of entry is 11-14. That is not ok with us and we're pretty sure it's not ok with you. We've created a nationwide awareness event on Friday November 20th, to celebrate Universal Children's Day AND raise awareness about child trafficking. Funding supports educating youth & parents around the country in opportunity zones in person and online.

Challenge

Our children are being intentionally targeted, groomed, recruited and exploited by online predators. In fact, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children states online exploitation has risen over 125% in the past year. We can disrupt this by educating parents about online recruitment tactics, grooming practices, screen time addiction and how to disrupt the cycle powerfully and through love. Truth is, our parents want this information and so do their kids.

Solution

By raising awareness and an additional $5,000 we can host 10 online, or off-line, courses when it's safe, to educate parents. Most are at their wits end trying to fully understand what is happening to their children or to have a conversation about it. We will provide free training courses for families in opportunity zones, impacting hundreds of lives. Many parents do not comprehend the insidious nature of online exploitation. Once trained they work together to keep their kids safe.

Long-Term Impact

The long term impact is to reduce screen time, decrease the impact of online/video game and app addiction, restoring peace in the household through conversations vs arguments, decrease the risk of online exploitation and increasing family harmony. Families want this information, so do their kids. After our educational programs for students, 60% said they talked to their parents or friends about what they learned. We encourage conversations and being curious vs reacting; reducing stress.
