Laritza is an outstanding young student that we met through our High Opportunity Schools project in the CTP of Guácimo, Limón. From the age of 13, she began studying Mandarin, thanks to the Ministry of Public Education's "Let's Speak Mandarin" program and the Costa Rican Chinese Cultural Center. After years of hard work, Laritza won a full scholarship to pursue her undergraduate studies in Animal Science at Nanjing Agricultural University, China. However, to fulfill his dream he required paying the one-way ticket and mandatory quarantine expenses upon arrival in China. From Acción Joven we committed to support his dream through a fundraising campaign, valid from July 20 to September 30, 2022 on our social networks. Thanks to the great solidarity of the people who support our work, the goal was fulfilled! Currently, Laritza is studying in China and has even received recognition for her academic performance.
