Project #15993

Keep the Office Working!

A microproject by American Foundation for Children with AIDS

We need to monitor, counsel, advise and help the children in the programs we support so that they can keep moving towards self-reliability. This project will help us keep the people who do this type of work doing it. Without funding, they will no longer be able to continue working and supporting the kids.

There are amazing people who are helping the kids in our programs - Q oversees the livestock projects. Ncube oversees the garden projects. Noma works with AIDS orphans, making sure they have the medicine and support they need. All of these people, and many more, counsel the children, they follow up with them, they deliver animals, they train, they make sure the kids have food, etc. This project will help keep all of these people in place, working with the children who desperately need them.

This project will help provide funding so that salaries can be paid and so that transportation costs are covered so that the children can continue to be visited and helped.

Long-Term Impact

When orphaned children have someone who looks out for them, someone who cares for them, they have a better sense of worth. This project will help keep the support system the children have enjoyed thus far and will allow those who work with the kids to continue doing what they love to do.
