Thank you! thank you very much for the over whalming donations towards the training of 50 mothers on best feeding pracitces. We did it, it was wonderful!

Mountains of Hope partnered with the Mpigi District Health officers (Nutrition department) to train 50 mothers on breast feeding, preparation of PD Hearth (a mixture of nutritious food).

"Am happy I can be able to prepare the best nutritious meal for my daughter using the locally available food" said Annet, amother to baby Anitah

Mothers together with the Village Health Trainers attended and learnt to prepare the best nutritious children meals, these mothers came along with their babies, most of the babies that were not healthy were subjected to a nutritious diet there and then after being measured using MUAC (Mid Upper Arm Circumference) tapes.

Mothers that came along with their children fed them with the nutritious meal they learnt to prepare at the training. The meal included fresh beef, vegetables, irish potatoes, fresh beans, powdered silver fish, smoked fish and many more.

After the training mothers will be trained on growing of vegetables in their back yards, they will grow rich in vitamins, zinc, etc vegetables to enable them feed well their children.

The numbers of malnourished children is expected to dramatically reduce from 70% to 20% in the coming yeat as a result of this training and sensitization.
