Generally, New Year is celebrated grandly all over the world. Everyone celebrates New Year in his/her own style. Everyone farewells to the old year and welcomes New Year with passion, so the day is celebrated just like a festival. New Year brings new hope, new dreams, new aim and new challenges to everyone which are welcomed by everyone. All of us celebrate New Year with our family and friends but there are some poor street children who just watch others celebrating New Year. Children reside at road side celebrate their New Year on road. When the entire world is busy in celebrating New Year, these poor children sleep at the road side hungry. Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan has come forward to help such children.
Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan, with the support of GlobalGiving Foundation, distributed cake, biscuits, chocholates, food packets, toys, cream rules, waffers to 10 poor street and slum children one the eve of New Year. The activists of the organisation celebrated New Year with these children with joy. All children danced and song on the ocassion and celebrated New Year. The activists also organised games and other activities in which all children participated with zeal. New year was celebrated with street children residing at Parbatpura National Highway. Our activists had conversation with one of those street children. In his words, . . .
My name is Lokesh and I am 11 years old. I have never celebrated New Year in such a manner ever before. I clean the trucks at road side and sell fancy items to them. It gets me meal for a day with great difficulty and sometimes I only manage meal for one time in a day and I have to sleep hungry. I can never think of the happiness of New Year. Today, I felt that I have got all the joy and happiness of the world. I enjoyed celebrating New Year a lot with Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan, moreover, the cake and food packets are awesome. I ate a lot of cake and I got satiated. I thank a lot to Global Giving Foundation and Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan team and at last Happy New Year to all of you from all of us.
