This project is focused towards providing IT Training to the Youth and Women of the most socioeconomically deprived and poverty struct populations in Maskseenabad Rawalpindi. These IT Training Skills provision will ensure that the population will have sustainable livelihood as back-end technicians in the IT Industry where they are continuously required for the work to be completed, and furthermore that this project will ensure that there is an increase in livelihood and education in Pakistan.
Poverty has significantly increased in Pakistan, especially because of austerity, natural disasters which continue to impact the country, as well as pro-rich policies which are not beneficial for the poorest segments of society who are illiterate, unskilled, and as a result the youth and women account for the largest population yet they are not able to get any sustainable livelihood.
This microproject is focused towards the IT Training of Youth and Women in areas of Maskeenabad with skills that will allow them to have sustainable employment opportunitites, especially towards increasing participation of the poverty struck in the IT sector allowing for equitable and more sustainable livelihood and education opportunities. These trainings will be to ensure that these populations become back-end technicians, something which is a significant need of the IT sector in Pakistan.
The long-term impact of this project will be transformative for the communities of Maskeenabad, Rawalpindi. By providing vocational and technical training focusing on the IT Trainings to make them back-end technicians which are continuously supplying the needs of the IT Sector, allowing for more sustainable livelihood opportunities in the population and further decreasing the vicious cycle of debts which undermine them.
