Challenge

Women are the majority of the poor being brought down by the cultural values and norms, limited access to credit, and education. In addition to the unpaid domestic work, women play a key role in supporting their households and communities at large in achieving food security, generating income and improving livelihoods. It is therefore essential to empower them not only for the well being of individuals, families and rural communities but also for the overall economic productivity.

Solution

1) Through skilling women with vocational skills 2) Through Entrepreneurship groups 3) Through Saving Groups 4) Through kickstart packages

Long-Term Impact

(a) improving access to Non-Formal Basic Education; (b) Youth's Vocational Literacy; (c) Women Workers' Literacy and Vocational Training; (d) Microfinance Support Scheme for women and youth empowerment; (e) Support to project management. (f) Trainings and workshops to change boys/young men attitude towards young girls and women
