In spite of the improving academics in India government schools, educating students on important life skills like basic hygiene, career, and environment is taking a backseat because of lack of time, expertise, and a systematic approach. Our Life Skills programs solve this issue. We source volunteers from patron base & corporates. Your donation will help in funding programs in 10 Coimbatore area rural govt. schools in Tamilnadu, India, benefiting 2101 children!
Children studying at the Coimbatore government schools are lacking the knowledge on how to take care of their personal hygiene like cleaning their teeth and hands, using the toilets, taking bath, and keeping their body, dwellings and the surroundings clean. They also lack the guidance for planning their career. Also, they need be aware of importance of planting trees and taking care of the plants to protect the environment.
Our structured programs for health, career guidance and the environment provide systematic plan of training the students in these aspects. Volunteers from corporates or the school localities are trained on our programs to impart the knowledge to the students. We train the volunteers at their locations (offices or their locality). Multiple sessions are conducted to cover all the classes and the sections. Yoga is taught for primary school children.
Children passing out of the schools would have received a rounded life skills education, which would enable them to live a healthy, joyful life with a career plan for their future. Overall, this education in the government schools lead to improved rounded education producing more healthy, confident & educated children.
