Thanks to your generous support, we’re thrilled to share the impact of our “Interactive Learning for All” fundraiser!
With your help, we raised over $800 to purchase interactive educational materials for Yspaniola students in Batey Libertad. These resources are now used daily in our tuition-free Preschool and Learning Center, benefiting approximately 150 students.
Our teaching staff carefully selected materials based on specific student needs to enrich the classroom experience. For example, many Preschool students are still learning to write their letters, color within the lines, and complete tasks that require fine motor skills. To support this development, we purchased Montessori activities specifically designed to strengthen these skills.
Additional resources include wooden word-building games with pictures, magnetic word games, and alphabet flashcards
These tools target key literacy areas like phonics, spelling, and vocabulary development. They’ve transformed classroom learning by increasing student engagement, supporting students at different literacy and learning levels, and allowing for individualized attention from our teachers.
With these materials, teachers can now offer meaningful, hands-on activities while working one-on-one with other students. These tools also foster creativity and a love of learning that we believe will last a lifetime.
