These villagers are still waiting for filters in their village. Our goal hasn't been met to finance the purchase and installation just yet! While they wait, wellness habits continue to increase. Villagers are cleaning up their environment, sharing with each other and encouraging exercise.
Our hope is to raise the remaining need and install no later than Spring 2018 (when the weather is warmer making it easier to install the water filters. Frozen pipes make it nearly impossible). The need is real. Having a pipe with flowing water that is unsafe to drink is a horrible discouragement. They desire to be healthier, drink clean and safe water, and to have small gardens where safe water can be used to grow food.
If you are interested in helping further, please donate to the village project on GlobalGiving at https://www.globalgiving.org/projects/ending-poverty-for-roma-people-in-serbia/.
Funding is the only thing standing between these amazing people and water accessibility!
