Snezana leads the charge for increasing water intake of villagers in Serbia, but the obstacle of free access to clean water remains - no filters.
While they wait for funding for filters, the villagers are teaching each other about cleanliness and how keeping areas clean, washing hands and cleaning dishes impact wellness in their community.
Children, women and men are recognizing the impact and enjoy the restoration of dignity in their village. Cleaning up has increased friendliness and joy within the community. Self-respect and neighbor care has also increased as more and more villagers "clean it up".
The greatest need remains for filters to install on the water pipes provided by Serbian leaders. The water is there, but filled with chemicals and minerals at unsafe levels. Bottled water is expensive and bad for their environment. $1000 will provide basic need for filters and more donated will ensure ALL of these villagers have close access to clean, safe water for drinking and washing.
Until then, it remains difficult to move further in their Transformational process. Will you help?
