Help Us Feed 600 people in Puerto Rico.

In Puerto Rico, one third of the population has difficulty eating regularly and depends on charity to eat.According to statistics, the prevalence of food insecure is 33.2 percent in Puerto Rico or approximately 3 out of 10 adults meet the definition of food insecurity, while poverty and food insecurity are intertwined.Sixty-seven percent of households on the island live below the poverty line, which greatly limits access to a balanced diet, including nutritious foods necessary for their well being

The lack of nutritional value is reflected in the prevalence of health conditions, including the widespread problem of obesity and overweight in the population of Puerto Rico that reaches 66.5%, according to data compiled by the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) by 2018.

We will be providing a balanced diet to families, kids, mother's and communities in general. Also we will train the head of household in the importance of a good nutrition for the family.

Long-Term Impact

The Educational and Relief Center will provide constant education, support and training to help individuals and families to rise out of poverty. In the event of any future natural disaster, the Educational and Relief Center will be ready to help a community of 600+ families.
