Winnie, 20, is an orphan in Uganda who nearly died from a severe internal bleed and anemia requiring a blood transfusion. She still owes $600 for her tests and treatment, and needs $300 more for recovery care. We're raising funds to clear this bill and support her recovery, including training in hairdressing so she can become self-sufficient
Winnie was hospitalized with a serious upper GI bleed, an H. pylori-related stomach condition, and severe anemia, needing a transfusion of five units of blood. With no parents to rely on, she cannot pay the $500 owed for her medical tests and treatment. She also needs $300 for recovery essentials - nutritious meals, medication, and a home blood pressure monitor. Having never attended school, Winnie has no way to support herself once she recovers
