Help us feed vulnerable people during the outbreak

Thank you very much for your support of our emergency food delivery service during the COVID-19 crisis. Over the last 3 months, Be Enriched and Brixton People's Kitchen have been delivering food parcels and hot meals to over 200 households per week, feeding over 560 people across Wandsworth and Lambeth-- over 1200 parcels in total.

During this crisis we have seen a staggering increase in food insecurity across many demographic groups, including older people, families with children, and those who would typically not struggle with affording food. Though lockdown is slowly being lifted, we anticipate that this high level of need will continue over the next weeks and months, and will continue to support these communities in whatever way we can.

Our food delivery service will continue over the next few weeks, and we are hoping to re-open our community meals as soon as it is safe to do so. We are also launching an exciting new project, the Food Bus, which will bring affordable fruit and vegetables to neighbourhoods that have limited access to healthy affordable food. We, along with other food charities in London and across the UK, have learned a lot about the vulnerabilities in our food system during this time of crisis. The good news is that we will apply the lessons learned to our bus project to make sure that we have a consistent supply of healthy and affordable food for our community.
