Getting Samantha & Alicia out of Morocco proved to be quite a challenge - but because of your support, we were successful! They are currently safe in a shelter in the USA. We found an attorney for Alicia so she can file for custody of Samantha and divorce her abusive husband. They have already been accepted into a longer term transitional housing program.
Alicia told us that Samantha likes to wear her little crown around the shelter and still pretends to be a princess. But now she says that her mommy rescued her. Alicia hopes that one day Samantha's father will get help and she can have a good, positive relationship with her father. But for now, Alicia is focusing on keeping them safe.
