This microproject directly funds 50 professional physiotherapy sessions ($30 per session) for Ruth. Continuous physical therapy is essential to break down scar tissue, increase knee flexion, rebuild muscle strength, and restore her ability to walk independently. By supporting Ruth's rehabilitation, you are directly investing in the leadership and operational continuity of Another Hope Children's Ministries, enabling Ruth to stand strong and continue directing life-saving programs for OVCs
While the initial surgery was successful, her recovery has been a slow and challenging mountain to climb. Ruth currently faces severe stiffness and pain, making simple movements and walking an agonizing battle. One doctor has recommended a second major operation; however, medical specialists believe that 3 to 6 months of continuous, intensive physiotherapy (4 sessions per week) gives her the best chance to regain full mobility and avoid another invasive surgery.
Ruth Nambowa, Founder and Executive Director of Another Hope Children's Ministries, was involved in a severe accident that left her with catastrophic knee injuries. After major surgery, she requires intensive physiotherapy 4 times a week to regain her mobility, avoid a second major surgery, and continue her critical leadership work serving vulnerable children in Uganda.
1) More children and families will be served. 2) Improved quality of care of the children at the home 3) Ongoing organizational development
