We have good news: our kitchen is finally done and it’s better than we ever expected!
I’m sure you all remember our old kitchen: way too small, dark and not fun to work in. It was more than time to upgrade it since our camp keeps expanding, but our kitchen had stayed the same since the beginning. Once we put our project online, you guys quickly came to our rescue and funded it in no time. We can’t thank you enough for being so generous and kind.
The new kitchen is a lot bigger than our last one and we painted it this beautiful blue colour which makes it seem even bigger. Our kitchen staff got all new kitchen appliances, a new pantry and way more space to work and move around in. They no longer have to fight over a working burner or about who gets to stand where. The food has always been delicious, but now at least our kitchen staff has fun while preparing it for us :)
We really couldn’t have made this kitchen the way it is now without your help, so thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You helped make DAKTARI a better place for our volunteers and for the children we teach here every week. Thank you again for making this possible for us.
