We are about to kick off the new academic year in our local township school and we need your help to fundraise so we can purchase pencils, pen's, pads and workbooks. 100 children ready to learn and our team of staff passionate and ready to teach so all we need now is the tools to enhance their education.
Stationery is expensive. For 2021 we need to 376 glue sticks costing $345, 375 pencils that costs $368, 76 pairs of scissors costing $91.20, 150 pens costing $72.50, 400 workbooks for the students costing $800, 200 homework folders costing $123, 100 board markers costing a total of $98 and this is just the start. To provide 100 children the basic resources to learn throughout the whole of 2021 will cost us a total $4,349 and this project aims to help us fundraise to cover these costs in 2021.
This Micro-project is a fundraising drive to help our school provide stationery to the students to help enhance their education this 2021 academic year.
At the root of education, we hope to improve students level of English but also their confidence and self-esteem. Enabling students to successfully graduate from High School which will cause a ripple effect in the community. Access to quality education helps create greater job opportunities which in turn has a positive impact on employment rates and general health and living standards. By assisting, we hope to increase young people's prospects of a brighter future and a sustainable community.

Every microproject is intended to use the donations it receives in accordance with its stated description; however, it is important to provide project leaders with the flexibility to maximize the potential benefit from the donations they receive. This means that your donation may be used as a part of the main project that supports this microproject, specifically Fund 100 Children in a Township School in Africa. In this event, the project leader is required to post an update to the microproject detailing the results and reasons behind this change.
If you or any other donor is unhappy with the way their funds have been used, he or she can reallocate their donation using the GlobalGiving guarantee.
