This project will support Mrs Mercy to amputate her remaining leg (right), which is decaying as a result of an infection. Mrs Mercy, a poor divorcee with two children, who lost her source of livelihood as a result of her health, is at the emergency unit of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital Nnewi. Her left leg was amputated last two months, as a result of an infection which led to the decaying of the flesh and this has also affected the right one, which also needs to be amputated.
Mrs Mercy is facing a serious challenge of taking care of her health and her children, as she's in dire need of financial support to amputate her remaining leg. Her left leg was amputated last two months, as a result of an infection which led to the decaying of the flesh and this has also affected the right one, which also needs to be amputated. Once this remaining leg is amputated, she will be left with no leg which will make it more difficult for her to earn a living and care for her children.
We will support her with the funds that would be raised through this project, in order to make sure that she receives the required medical attention that she needs.
Mrs Mercy's life would be saved, as her leg would have been successfully amputated, without allowing the infection to spread all over her body.
