6,500 saplings have been planted in the last three months in that youth, school students and fishermen are involved. Half kilometer of Kaodiyakadu coastal areas are planted by Mangroves, whose saplings are prodcued in four nurseries of ROSI. Further we are promoting motivation among farmers, students and coastal communities on existing mangroves conservation and new planting in 120 KM covering Pudukkottai, Thanjavur, Tiruvarur and Nagapattinam district. Nursery for mangroves is being promoted in four spots in Coastal of Tamil Nadu (Bay Bengal). Each nursery will deliver 12500 Mangroves saplings in every year that 100000 will be planted. In four years 400000 Mangroves will be planted and maintained.
