Theresa became pregnant during the Ebola crisis in Sierra Leone. She was at risk of dropping out of school entirely. Thanks to a remedial program supported by a GlobalGiving Grant, she received psycho-social counseling and finished school. She is now in college, studying public health. She needs on-going support to stay in college. This project will provide a full scholarship for Theresa covering her housing, tuition, books, school supplies, a laptop, and related school expenses.
Funds from this project will help Theresa continue her education and eventually become an Epidemiologist - her desired future profession. Your support will help provide all she needs to be successful in college and ensure that she completes her education. Together we can make a huge difference in her life!

Every microproject is intended to use the donations it receives in accordance with its stated description; however, it is important to provide project leaders with the flexibility to maximize the potential benefit from the donations they receive. This means that your donation may be used as a part of the main project that supports this microproject, specifically Educate a Girl, Educate a Nation - Sierra Leone. In this event, the project leader is required to post an update to the microproject detailing the results and reasons behind this change.
If you or any other donor is unhappy with the way their funds have been used, he or she can reallocate their donation using the GlobalGiving guarantee.
