Dear Friends and Supporters,
We are happy to share an inspiring update about Jamuna, a determined young woman whose resilience and hard work symbolize the mission we strive to achieve.
Jamuna lost both her parents at a very young age. Orphaned and vulnerable, her future seemed uncertain. Thankfully, her maternal uncle and aunt stepped forward, welcoming her into their home and caring for her as their own child. Despite financial hardships, they encouraged her education and supported her dream of becoming a professional who could help children and adults with communication challenges.
Jamuna completed her Diploma in Speech Impairment, demonstrating not only academic ability but also a deep passion for supporting people with disabilities. Her younger brother has also completed his education and is now financially independent, relieving some pressure from the family.
Recognizing her potential to serve society in a meaningful way, Jamuna enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (BASLP) — a field critical for individuals facing speech and hearing difficulties. She has successfully completed her First Year and continues to excel in her coursework and clinical practice.
To help her continue her education without financial stress, Sphoorti Foundation supported her with a grant of 1,00,000, which she used entirely toward her college tuition fees. This support ensures that she is able to focus on her studies and achieve her goal of becoming a certified Speech Therapist.
Today, Jamuna stands confident and hopeful — a powerful example of how timely support can change a life. When she completes her degree, she hopes to serve underprivileged children who struggle with speech and language disorders and make a difference in their lives.
We are deeply grateful to our donors and supporters. Because of your kindness, students like Jamuna can transform their dreams into reality.
Thank you for believing in their future.
Together, we are building lives with dignity, education, and opportunity.
With gratitude,
Sphoorti Foundation
