Thank you once again for helping Christina, our little gymnastics star. This means such a lot to her parents. They may not have a home of their own, but they are doing a fantastic job supporting their daughter and helping her develop her talent.
Today we would like to share a letter from Lyuba, Christina's mother. We've also added a link to some video footage of Christina in action.
"I would like to thank everyone who has helped Christina live out her dream of becoming a gymnast. Although Christina is only five years old, she is very ambitious. Christina dreams of becoming chamption of the world, and if she achieves this you will deserve the credit. Without your help, I could not cover the expenses of Christina's sporting life. These include outfits, tracksuits, transport expenses and more.
We will briefly tell you about Christina's recent successes. At the last championship in Tbilisi, Christina came first. At the end of last year and the beginning of 2020, we also went to contests in Bakuriani, where Christina was highly placed.
Now, of course, all competitions are indefinitely postponed. Now, like everyone else, we are in self-isolation at our shelter. Despite that, we continue to train, even together.
Once again, I thank each of you in the name of our little family, and particularly in Christina's name."
