We have been getting your valuable generous support through GlobalGiving and we are thankful to you from the core of our heart.
Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan, with the collaboration of Global Giving Foundation, has started skill development training for talented poor women. The organisation is providing handicraft skill training to young women & Girls at slum locality in Ajmer. All women are talented and needy and the condition of their families is worst. Hence, they are getting trained for handicraft training for 5 hours daily. In this 3-months handicraft training,
Master trainer trained the trainees to make Rajasthani traditional doorbell, Bandarwad chain, chatri, Jhumar, paper messy, ceremic art, rangoli art, photoframe, key-holder, puja thal, flower pot, etc. For the capacity building of the trainees, they will be provided life skill, EDP and training for marketing skills from time to time. Knowledgeable games are played to reduce their stress. Our activist had conversation with one of the trainees and came to know about her problems which is mentioned in her own words as :
My name is Fulan and I am 20 years old. I have one child and I was a housewife. I don't have consistent mean of earning and my husband is a daily wage worker. His earnings our not enough to meet our family's requirements. I am always worried about the education of my child as she grows. I was interested in arts, so when I came to know about the handicraft training, I got myself registered for the training instantly. I am learning with dedication and make stuffs at my home. The stuffs I have made are being appreciated by family members and localites and I've started earning from them. I want that such trainings programs should be organised from time to time for women like me and I will teach this work to needy poor women at my own level so that they may start their self-employment and may be able to make their dreams true.
