Dear friends and donors,

We come with good news and a grateful heart. Francis has been discharged from Hospital!

Following up on our last report, we are happy to share that Francis is now at home, recovering with his family.

This was made possible because of you. When we received the urgent bill from the ICU, GlobalGiving quickly expedited the disbursement from our generous donor who gave $2,500. That money came right on time and enabled us to clear the hospital bills, purchase the remaining medications, and get Francis out of the hospital immediately. Thank you to GlobalGiving for acting so fast, and thank you to our generous donor who made this possible.

As you can see in the new photo, Francis is now sitting up and smiling. He still has a long road to full recovery after the severe brain bleed and lung damage from the July 5th motorcycle accident, but he is improving every day. He is in a wheelchair and getting physiotherapy.

With the support received, Francis is now getting:
Better nutrition and upkeep at home
Help paying back some of the debts the family borrowed during his weeks in ICU
Support for his wife to start a small income-generating project selling food items to keep the family going while he cannot work

Francis served children and communities for years as a teacher and social worker. Now you have served him. From the bottom of our hearts, we say thank you.

We still have $500 left to reach our $3,000 goal, which will go to his ongoing rehabilitation and follow-up medical care. If you can, please continue to share his story.

With gratitude,
Mountains of Hope Children's Ministries
