Dear all,
Just a final thank you and farewell for this project.
We had a few interesting reports from the field following Hurricane Earl. There are now only 2 ospreys in the area, but no-one seems sure if it's our baby or his sibling or the parents. The general feeling is that the babies dispersed as they tend to do once they become independent, and the parents remain in their territory, readying the nest site for another breeding season.
We have no idea if the dispersal was because of, or in spite of Hurricane Earl, and can only hope that both are safe and well and have taken up residence in other locations.
Thank you all once again for your support in this recovery, and despite the uncertainty of his final fate, one thing is for sure - Ra would not have made it without you!
