Favor is a 5 years old child that has been living with a benign tumor on her jaw since she was 2, she is also living in a small household with her impaired grandmother, her very young mother (KGA beneficiary) and 3 other people, they cannot provide for adequate feeding or education for her. Let alone adequate health treatment, without which her situation could be terminal, is also very far away from their possibilities. We want to make sure Favor has at least some chances to win her battle.
Favor received treatment previously, last time 6 months but since the person who was sponsoring her could not keep on sending money the treatment stopped and her family turned to traditional medicine. Her situation is too delicate to be depending on such things and we want to give more publicity to her case in order to give her sustained help for as long as she is fighting the disease. On top of that, the economic situation of her family is quite desperate.
With the 517$ we are asking we will make sure she gets back on her treatment, bring her to the only institution in Cameroon that is ready to deal with her situation and we will also make sure that she is well fed and that as long as her health makes it possible, she keeps going to school.
Favor situation is not easy. We cannot promise long term impact since we do not know if she is going to be able to win her fight. We are asking for help to give her some resemblance of a fair chance to fight. If she makes it through though the long term impact would be as big as saving a human live.
