PROJECT REPORT Support for Vulnerable Persons with Disabilities in Hardship Conditions 1. Project Title

Empowering and Supporting Persons with Disabilities in Vulnerable Communities


2. Background / Problem Statement

In many low-income and crisis-affected communities, persons with disabilities face extreme hardship. They often lack access to basic services such as healthcare, education, assistive devices, and income opportunities.

Due to poverty, stigma, and limited infrastructure:

  • Many are unable to attend school or work
  • Access to mobility aids (wheelchairs, crutches) is very limited
  • Healthcare and rehabilitation services are inaccessible or unaffordable
  • Families caring for disabled members struggle financially

As a result, persons with disabilities are among the most marginalized and excluded populations.


3. Project Objectives

Overall Objective:
Improve the quality of life and inclusion of persons with disabilities in vulnerable communities.

Specific Objectives:

  1. Provide assistive devices (wheelchairs, hearing aids, etc.)
  2. Improve access to healthcare and rehabilitation services
  3. Support income-generating activities for disabled individuals and families
  4. Promote social inclusion and reduce stigma
  5. Facilitate access to education and vocational training

4. Target Beneficiaries

  • Persons with physical, visual, and hearing disabilities
  • Children with disabilities
  • Caregivers and families
  • Vulnerable households in rural and underserved areas

Estimated Direct Beneficiaries: 200–500 individuals
Indirect Beneficiaries: 1,000+ community members
