Ebola orphan, Aminata, is in class four this year. She resides in the Dream Home Orphanage and needs a scholarship in order to continue school. Two out of three of the 110 million children who do not attend school are girls, and girls grow up to make two-thirds of the world's 875 million illiterate adults. This project will help ensure that Aminata continues her schooling by providing her with a full scholarship.
Families with limited funds to educate their children focus on sending their boys to school, and many girls who start school drop out because their parents cannot afford to continue to pay for their education. Aminata's parents passed away during the Ebola crisis, and she has no family to help her with school expenses. This project will provide a full scholarship for Aminata covering her tuition, books, school supplies and related school expenses.
Funds from this project will help Aminata complete class four. She would like to become a lawyer - her desired future profession. Your support will help provide all she needs to be successful in school and ensure that she completes her education.
Healthy, well-educated and emancipated women are an excellent foundation for a new and free society. Your support will help Aminata to finish school, become independent and self-sufficient. In her chosen future career as a lawyer, she will also be contributing to national development.
