Help Alya and Reanna After They Escaped Violence

Project Report | Mar 7, 2017
Alya and Reanna just moved into transitional housing!

By Paula Lucas | Founder & Executive Director

Alya and Reanna moved into transitional housing last week because of you! Between this project and funds from another source, we were able to get them out of shelter and into their apartment.

The transitional housing program will give them one year of affordable housing while Alya stabilizes her life after fleeing her abusive husband in Belgium. There is a school close by so Alya can easily get Reanna to school before she goes to work.

Here is part of an email we received from Alya. "We are so happy to be in our own place. It seems so surreal after everything we have been through. Thank you so much for all of your help. We would not be where we are today without AODVC."

We want to thank you for supporting Alya and Reanna! The AODVC Team
