You have done it! Thank you very much for your support for our Christmas Food Bag Program. Through your help and the help from some other Donors we were able to distribute 400 (!) Food bags in the days before Christmas to the Bargirls in Pattaya.
When we arrived in some of the bars, the women were overwhelmed. First, they thought we wanted to try to sell something to them - but when they realized that the bags where a gift for them, they are speechless. They could not believe that people would choose to just give them a gift. Some were very hungry and directly opened the bags and shared the food around with everyone. It was very humbling to see the impact that these bags had – you have given hope this Christmas! Thank you for your sacrifice and for your support.
And the food came at the right time, sadly just before Christmas we had another Covid-19 outbreak in Thailand and on the 30th we entered another kind of lockdown and all the bars were shut once again. We were very glad that we were able to do give the food out, just before the bars had to close again.
Sadly, the closure is still going on. We have last week received permission from City Hall to continue with our food distribution and have started last week Friday with giving out more food. We are getting many phone calls from women that know us now through the Christmas Food Bags and they are asking if we have more for them. We invite them to come to our Center and we have a number of days where they can pick up more food.
Thank you for making this impact and for also helping us so that we can be in contact with even more women now. We hope and pray that the restrictions will be lifted soon but until than we will continue to serve the women that are in need here in Pattaya.
