Hello!
Thank you very much for all your help in making it possible for us to distribute three hundred big bags of food and gifts to the bar girls in Pattaya Thailand. Even though we did not raise all the money needed here on GlobalGiving, thankfully another Donor stepped it and supplied the missing funds.
In the week before Christmas, we went out three evenings to reach the women in the different redlight areas of Pattaya. Officially they are all still closed but many registered their bars as restaurants and opened using this loophole. Sadly, this has now let to a big Omicron outbreak and a new round of restrictions. But in December we were still able to distribute three hundred bags to the women there.
When we went out the women were very surprised and happy. Some could not believe that the bags were free, and they thought we tried to trick them into buying something. Some were very hungry, especially in one area of town and started to eat directly. Each bag some Christmas Gifts, some cake, and a hot meal that our staff cooked for everyone. We had many great conversations, gave out our contact details and hope that some of the women will contact us to start the vocational training with us.
Our team really enjoyed it to bless the women, to talk to them and to see how they helped each other, and it was great to do Outreach again.
Thank you for your help - you made it possible, and you made many women happy as you can see in the pictures.
