As our center for children in urgent need and distress continues to reach out to more and more children we have identified a need for a special programme to help them get back into school and get an education. These children often need extra support and we have formed a partnership with local schools and colleges to help them get a fresh start.
The children who come to our center, Rescue Junction come to us for many reasons including being abandoned by their families, physically or sexually abused, trafficked, or have runway from home, or are just simply lost. They are all extremely vulnerable and going back to school and starting an education is a vitally important step in rebuilding their lives. These children need the opportunity to fulfill their potential and build a real future for themselves. We help both boys and girls.
What this project does is provide individual educational programmes for children based on their needs in schools and colleges in the local community. Each child has an individual programme and is supported and encouraged through each step by specially trained counselors . The funds will provide books , school or college dress, tuition fees, individual support and counseling.
It is the aim of the trust to engage with the police, railway authorities, the judicial system and local government in helping to provide a child safety network in the district. This has the potential to help thousands of kids.
