All you kind and generous people have, over the years, become a part of the OBLF family. Year in and year out, we reach out to you to bring quality education and joy to our rural children, and you always rise to the occasion. This festival season, as we again geared up to observe the Joy of Giving Week (2nd to 8th October) by gifting toys and sweets to our 4,500 under-privileged kids, you opened your hearts and contributed to this noble cause to bring joy into the lives of these little angels.
As in the past, we, at One Billion Literates Foundation, decided to celebrate the Daan Utsav, (the other name for the Joy of Giving Week), by fulfilling a wish of all our children. Since 2013, supported by many kind and generous people and thoughtful company managements, we have been putting up “Wish Trees” in some companies, where employees fulfill as many wishes as they desire. We also reached out to you with this micro-project on GlobalGiving. Though we fell short of our fund-raising goal, we ensured that each child got a smile this festive season.
We wish to thank each and every one of you who brought so much joy to our under-privileged children. Without your generosity and kindness, we would have indeed struggled to achieve what we wanted to.
We truly appreciate your support to our cause, and hope that you will continue to do so in the years to come.
