Earth Day is Everyday!

Every day is Earth Day. And every day is a day to conserve water. The little actions really can add up to make a difference. That’s why we are so excited to report our progress for all the wonderful people who collaborated to make our Future Forest Now Earth Day 2021 campaign so successful. Many people came together, inspired by our volunteer crew of professional marketers, Summer Nelson and Rhea Cortado. Never was raising funds for our work so fun and beneficial as the participatory yoga and astrology classes gifted by 20 gifted teachers around the world to support giving back rainforest trees to Mother Earth and caring for them as we care for ourselves.

We have been busy initiating a new expansion to a severely deforested zone in Costa Rica above the Diamante Valley where the natural water springs are nourishing a huge population of humans and life downstream. We have completed the communication and orientation process for signing up the first host farm family in this area. Materials have been purchased and delivered for building fences to protect the baby trees from the cows. Discussing and designing the project with the host farm family is huge step which we recently successfully completed as well.

Work has begun building the necessary fences which will take a few weeks. Meanwhile, we will keep delivering biodiverse trees perfect for water protection to be planted within the fences in the watershed zones outlined in the photos attached here.  We will plant approximately 1000 trees this season and continue the labor of maintenance and hands on education hereafter for 5 years until the trees are big and robust and thriving.

Covering the water on this farm with healthy trees will be a long term project that we anticipate will continue far into the future. Many farmers in the area are open to planting trees to repair their watersheds as well. This is good news as the zone is so damaged and we know we can restore fertility and leave a lasting legacy of healthy water for the local community as well as global climate stabilization.

Creating jobs for so many campesinos is an added benefit offered by our unique model of reforestation. Our projects are so successful because we pay a fair living wage to men and women for their work on every tree for approximately 6 years. We produce all the trees we plant in our community nurseries and create a circle of benefits from the valuable rainforest products eventually produced.

Giving back feels so good when we can see and feel and the benefits, even from afar. Stay tuned as we show you the growth and abundance that we can achieve all together with your help! THANK YOU!
