The Los Angeles Conservation Corps was formed to assist at-risk young adults in achieving economic self-sufficiency through employment and educational advancement. Internships provide work experience and expanded employment opportunities. This project will fund employment training for 20 at-risk young adults (18-24 year old young adults) in the field of their choice. LA Corps support staff will identify private and non-profit organizations to support internship and employment opportunities.
Join the LA Corps Transition program in reducing the high rates of unemployment among 18-24 year olds. Help us provide employment training to young men and women with a high school diploma or equivalent, who need help overcoming barriers to find sustainable employment. Support transition participants in their employment search and help them in their employment and education goals.
Employment and education opportunities create economic advancement for young adults living in Los Angeles. The LA Corps' Transition program staff secure internship and employment opportunities for participants. This project will provide employment training and professional development to 20 young adults. The project will also facilitate internship and employment opportunities with local businesses and community organizations.
The LA Corps Transition program serves over 100 young men and women per year, directly decreasing the high rates of unemployment among young adults 18-24 years old and creating economic prosperity and stability that benefits present and future generations.
