Summary

Freetown, Sierra Leone experiences torrential rain each year. Deforestation of the surrounding hillsides compounds the water run-off. On August 2nd, 2019, widespread flooding resulted after a "massive" downpour. Hundreds of homes were flooded, cars swept away, walls collapsed on houses - resulting in loss of life and property

Challenge

Flood-affected, destitute families are in dire need of food, clothing and emergency supplies.

Solution

Funds from this project will help provide emergency food, clothing and supplies for flood-affected victims in Freetown, Sierra Leone.
